ATTENTION TO DETAIL Little things like cleaning up a load before it leaves the woods gives a better impression of logging when the public sees the product moving to market. This is simply “how it is done” for the Log Creek harvest crews, who take pride in the work they do. |
|
ONLY A LITTLE MORE TIME… Taking care to leave a harvest site “looking good” is a trademark of the work done by Log Creek. A site that looks good is also easier to replant for future production. Perhaps more importantly, when a clear-cut looks good to the public, the image of forest landowners goes up and the negative image of loggers goes down. |

MAXIMUM PRODUCTION Producing top quality timber (like that above) means managing your stands to control competition. Aerial spraying (right) is one means that Log Creek uses to get large areas treated quickly. Chemical release sprays reduce unwanted vegetation such as sweetgum sprouts and weeds to allow faster growth by your pines. Hand spraying, tractor based spraying, or broadcast (pelletized) treatments are also effective. Ask our foresters for details. |
